Finding Your Purpose: How Passion, Strength, Demand, and Recognition Fuel Success Like Pistons in a Car
Passion, strength, demand, and recognition are essential for success, just like the pistons in a car. They must work in perfect condition for the car to run smoothly.

In today's noisy world, it can be challenging to hear our inner voice and understand what truly motivates us. But, by taking time to reflect on our passions, strengths, and weaknesses, we can better navigate our journey in life. This self-reflection allows us to explore the world more efficiently and find a deeper sense of purpose.

Our passions are what give us the energy and enthusiasm to wake up every day. But, if we limit ourselves to only doing what we love, our passion will have limitations. When we find a higher purpose, our passion truly shines.
By combining our passions with our strengths, we have the power to serve others. It is up to us whether we do this humbly or with pride. I find the High 5 test to be a good gauge to help explore strengths. This and all tests of this nature are most valuable to use in a dialog with self and friends.

If we choose humility, we can truly serve others, but if we choose pride, we will be serving ourselves.
As we serve others, it is important to match our inner qualities with what is in demand and can be recognized. We must decide whether we want to focus on our own interests or truly serve others. Recognition should be a byproduct of our service, not the main goal.

These ideas are inspired by the concept of Ikigai, which means "reason for living". To achieve optimal performance and purpose, it is important to take care of our overall well-being as we explore our passions and strengths.

I use the label Recognition instead of what you can be paid for. I know very fulfilled friends who are not paid much, all their physical needs are taken care of, and they are well-recognized for contributing to the community. Graph source: Toronto Start Graphic.
